Windows Marketplace To Allow For App Sharing, ‘My Phone’ Backup Service Opens To All

It seems like Microsoft is finally putting customer satisfaction first with their next generation of Windows services, as the Windows Marketplace will be generous in allowing the distribution and sharing of purchased apps, as well as offering a ‘cooling off’ period.
Users will be able to share apps with friends and family as they allow for up to 5 installations on compatible Windows phones, whilst those unimpressed can request an unconditional refund within 24 hours of their purchase.
If that wasn’t enough, Microsoft’s cloud based ‘My Phone’ backup service has also gone into open beta, allowing anyone with a Windows phone to manage and store contacts, texts, appointments and photos to an online locker.
Restore any lost personal data, upload it directly to the web, transfer it across phones, anything you like, all for free! WinMo users, sign up for My Phone here.
Seems like taking a leaf out of Apple’s book by emulating the App Store and MobileMe is doing wonders for Microsoft! Who would have thought competition would be so healthy for the smartphone market?
