It seems like Sony Ericsson don’t know their own strength when it comes to both hyperbole and press announcements, although when you promise to ‘change the way we listen to music forever,’ we expect a pretty big deal.

Still, these MH907 headphones are quite cool (but not quite the Spotify-powered XPERIA X2 we fantasised about), allowing you to stop the music just by popping an earbud out, as well as receive a call by doing the same. This quirky tech will be out in the coming weeks, at a cost of €39 (£35).

Unfortunately, the news that it is only compatible with Sony Ericsson phones as opposed to a common 3.5mm audio jack means that it more likely to change the way a smaller number of people listen to music…for a bit.
