With nary a word of warning, another touchscreen device has unofficially popped up on Samsung’s burgeoning roster, this one apparently dubbed the S5560.
The Samsung S5560 seems to be another in the Korean firm’s armoury of handsets aimed at just about every demographic. Aged between 17 and 26? Like a touch phone with wi-fi connectivity, but hate 3G? Then do we have a phone for you…
Nevertheless the S5560 manages to sport some decent specs, nestling gently between the entry-level Genio Touch and supersonic Jet as a decent all round device.
An impressive 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and 3.5mm audio jack are welcome, as is the variety of music and movie formats supported by the media player.
As mentioned before, the S5600 sacrifices 3G for Wi-Fi support, a decision that we wish they had offered for the Samsung Tocco Lite…a handset which suffered for having neither.
If they can keep the cost low on this one, the S5560 could be a dark horse in that competitive bargain touch phone sector, currently lorded over by the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.
Despite GSMArena reporting a November launch in France for this sleek beauty, you’ll have to wait for any details of Samsung S5560 deals landing in Blighty…
