Samsung Galaxy S 3 Mini to cost under £300
Online mobile phone reseller Clove has opened the pre-ordering of the recently announced smaller Galaxy S III – the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini, with a cost of £298.
The handset was unveiled yesterday in Germany, but was confirmed by the head of mobile at the company a day earlier, to the South Korean press.
Samsung’s S3 Mini builds on from the flagship phone, with an almost identical look – only with a smaller 4-inch screen, instead of the 4.8-inch version in the larger device.
There are many of the same features in the Mini that accompanies the Galaxy S 3. These are the likes of the curved design, user interface to the mobile and the on-board software.
This is the S-Voice, which can awake the handset, play music, change the volume and all from voice commands. The Call Direct ability is also there; this can dial a contact’s number from a text message, by just raising the phone to an ear.
The Mini ships with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, with a dual-core 1GHz processor, 8GB of internal storage and support for microSD cards. It also has NFC built-in and a 5-megapixel camera, with a front-facing VGA webcam.
No arrival dates have been made public by Clove for the SIM free and unlocked Samsung Galaxy S 3 Mini, but those who pre-order will be kept abreast of any developments.
