South Korean electronics giant Samsung has unveiled the Android based Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo, which will be aimed at the youth market – when it arrives mid-May.
Samsung has now confirmed in a press release the Pocket Neo will be on sale here, where we have received the following statement from a spokesperson – regarding the other handset
“We can confirm that Galaxy Star won’t be coming to the UK.”
The Galaxy Pocket Neo will ship with a curved form factor, where is said to feel natural when operated with one hand.
This is along with easily fitting into a small bag, or a pocket – presumably, hence the name.
It has a 3-inch QVGA TFT LCD display; single-core 850MHz processor; 512MB of RAM; 4GB of internal storage and microSD card support up to 32GB.
Onboard is a 2-megapixel camera; A-GPS; Bluetooth 4.0, and it runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, with the outfits TouchWiz UI.
There are the intuitive motion controls built-in, where flipping the mobile over on incoming calls mutes it; scanning for Wi-Fi access or Bluetooth can be done by simply shaking the phone.
