Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo coming to UK in May, Samsung Galaxy Star won’t be available

South Korean electronics giant Samsung has unveiled the Android based Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo, which will be aimed at the youth market – when it arrives mid-May.

Omio -  Samsung Galaxy Pocket NeoThe company made public the mobile phone, along with the Galaxy Star at the start of this month, but there was no confirmation they would be sold in the UK.

Samsung has now confirmed in a press release the Pocket Neo will be on sale here, where we have received the following statement from a spokesperson – regarding the other handset

We can confirm that Galaxy Star won’t be coming to the UK.”

The Galaxy Pocket Neo will ship with a curved form factor, where is said to feel natural when operated with one hand.

This is along with easily fitting into a small bag, or a pocket – presumably, hence the name.

It has a 3-inch QVGA TFT LCD display; single-core 850MHz processor; 512MB of RAM; 4GB of internal storage and microSD card support up to 32GB.

Onboard is a 2-megapixel camera; A-GPS; Bluetooth 4.0, and it runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, with the outfits TouchWiz UI.

There are the intuitive motion controls built-in, where flipping the mobile over on incoming calls mutes it; scanning for Wi-Fi access or Bluetooth can be done by simply shaking the phone.
