Nokia N900 Shipping Early, Nokia X6 Music Phone To Follow
The SIM-free model of the Maemo-powered Nokia N900 is already shipping to eager customers, earlier than an anticipated 16th November launch.
Despite the official Nokia site still showing the N900 as a pre-order at a cost of £499.99, Twitter has been abuzz with reports that early birds are getting their phone shipped today, with confirmation now up on Nokia Conversations that the device is soon to reach Europe, the Middle East and America.
The only other thing of note aside from the handset’s impressive browsing credentials and gorgeous touch screen, is that it won’t currently work on 3G SIM cards from 3 UK – a software update is said to be in the works, and will be available before the end of 2009.

A new breed of Xpressmusic handset in the form of the Nokia X6 will be launching officially on the 16th, complete with big budget event courtesy of Rihanna. With 32GB of memory, a whole host of multimedia features and a wide touch screen, the X6 will be Nokia’s shot at the higher end of the music phone market.
