Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet now available in the UK, costing £399

Finnish mobile phone manufacturer Nokia has unveiled that its new Windows 8.1 Nokia Lumia 2520 slate will be available from today, Wednesday the 4th of December.

This is exclusively at John Lewis, with a price tag of £399.95, plus a two-year guarantee.

It has native access to a 4G network, with an EE mobile broadband SIM included – with 200MB of 4G data.

“We’re very excited to announce the launch of the Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet exclusive to John Lewis.”, said Harry Boughton, junior buyer for tablets and telecoms.

“We have seen a continuing demand for tablets, selling one every 15 seconds, and we think the addition of this tablet to our range will appeal to customers looking to do more than surf the web.”

It has a 10.1-inch high definition 1,920 x 1,080 touch display, while it is driven by a quad-core 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.

There is 2GB of RAM built-in; 32GB of internal storage and support for 32GB microSD cards.

On the rear, is a 6.7-megapixel camera, with the front sporting a 2MP wide-angle snapper.

Running the device is Windows RT 8.1, with exclusive apps, such as the Nokia Video Director and Dragons the Adventure, DreamWorks game.

Conor Pierce, Nokia’s General Manager for the UK & Ireland, commented, “In a market of me-too products, the Nokia Lumia 2520 stands out from the crowd with its unique Lumia design, great hardware and exclusive software experiences,”
