Renown South Korean consumer electronics maker LG rumoured Nexus handset will be launched at the Google event on the 29th of October, according to a recent report.
India-based news website IBNLive.com has published an article with this confirmation.
It states: “Amit Gujral, head, Mobile Product Planning, LG, on the sidelines of the Optimus Vu launch event, in an interview with IBNLive said, “Google will unveil the LG Nexus on October 29 and the phone will be available in the Indian markets by the end of November.”
“Gujral also shed some light on the technical specifications of the LG Nexus smartphone. He said, the phone will feature a 4.7-inch screen, run Android 4.2 OS, and will be powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor.”, added the title.
The piece also notes that if the speculation surrounding the device comes true, it will have a 1,280 x 768 IPS display, 2GB of RAM and an 8-megapixel camera.
This is with 8 or 16GB of internal storage and no support for a micro SD cards, or a removable battery.
