HTC Magic To Get Tasty Android Update On October 19th
Those worried that their cute HTC Magic was falling behind the smart phone pack can rest easy, as Vodafone has announced that their exclusive handset will be getting an Android update on October 19th.
The upgrade – dubbed ‘Donut‘ in development – follows from the long-awaited ‘Cupcake’ which saw Google’s open source operating system receive a boost with a virtual keyboard as well as many internal upgrades.
This yummy treat for the Magic will see a revamped Android Market, improved search (which one would expect, coming from Google!), and a speed improvement on the 3.2 megapixel camera.
Also introduced are swipe gestures to load favourite apps in an instant, whilst HTC Magic-owning folks on the continent can enjoy full text-to-speech translation in English, Italian, French and Spanish.
