Omio has learned the recently announced flagship LG Optimus G Pro and older Optimus G will not be coming to the UK – but another Optimus G handset will, later in the year.
This information comes from the LG UK Mobile Product Manager, who confirmed to us today that those handsets will not be on sale here.
He noted that one key feature of the LG Optimus G Pro is 4G LTE, and as 4G doesn’t roll out on a large scale until later in the year – the top-tier device will miss our shores.
However, he said that there is a yet-to-be-announced LG Optimus G family member coming to the UK, but didn’t let on any details to the specifications of that unnamed device – although its G2 model is a contender.
This is a tack that LG has adopted before, where its LG 4X HD finally arrived at the end of August 2012.
The only handsets that will be arriving from the line up shown at Mobile World Congress, are the successors to the 2012 L series.
These are the Optimus 4.3-inch screen L7 II; 4-inch display based L5 II and the lower-end L3 II, with its 3.2-inch display.
