Nokia X3 & X6 Revealed: Music Phones Get Seriously Sexy!
We heard big rumours that the ‘Xpressmusic’ arm of Nokia’s range was going to get a shot in the arm, and it has with the introduction of the Nokia X3 and Nokia X6 - two gorgeous media-savvy mobiles!
The Nokia X6 is undoubtedly the A-lister of the two with a 3.2″ touchscreen, a 5 megapixel Carl Zeiss camera with dual LED flash, 32GB of storage and an epic 35 hours of music playback…as well as a frankly breathtaking super-sleek design.
The X6 is also a brilliantly rounded multimedia device, bundled with the Comes With Music download service, a suite of mobile games for thumb bandits, a full web browser with Flash Lite support and Assisted GPS with Ovi Maps to scratch that navigation itch.
Oh, and it still functions as a mobile phone with a home screen widget that provides fast access to 20 of your nearest and dearest, as well as connectivity to social sites like Facebook.
This amazing device is due for Q4 2009, at a price of €459 for a SIM free model. Wow. Not cheap, but pioneering style and high-end features rarely are.
The Nokia X3 is the more mid-range mobile of the two, a strong slider handset with music on its mind. Striking a balance between the XpressMusic past and Xseries present in terms of design, the X3 has a 3.2 megapixel camera, 16GB of storage (via microSD card), stereo speakers and dedicated music buttons.
A 3.5mm headphone jack enables anyone to get connected, whilst connectivity via USB allows quick and easy access to the PC for transferring music. Downloading apps and themes is a breeze, with the Ovi Store pre-installed as standard.
As a mobile, the X3 is well equipped with Nokia Messaging combining all mails into a single threaded inbox, as well as an integrated home screen which displays contacts, friends, mail and music in one place.
The most exciting part of the Nokia X3 is the price, a bargain at just over £100 SIM-free, with a release this side of Xmas.
With the Xseries range of handsets kicking off so strong, we’re excited to see the mobile music player market get a real shake up!
