Nokia N97 Video Review: Bonne Qualité!
Time to pour a glass of wine, get comfy and possibly brush up on your french as Blog-N97.fr has managed to put together an insanely in-depth video review of the Nokia N97.
How detailed? 70 minutes detailed!
They explore everything, from an initial unboxing to exploring features and functions of the sleek flagship smartphone by way of video quality, web browsing, games and the Ovi Store.
Obviously it’s all in French, but you can always mute the video and put on some Serge Gainsbourg to get the Gallic flavour. I also suggest you check out their Youtube page for a version of the vid broken down into more managable portions.
What’s the verdict? Well, they love the look, the 16:9 display, and the homescreen and widgets also get deux thumbs up. However, on the downside they think that the choice of resistive rather than capacitive touchscreen is not necessarily a great one, making the interface tough to get precise response from as a consequence.
A stylus can help matters, but as we aren’t apparently getting one in the box with UK Nokia N97s, the problem remains.
Still, plenty of food for thought for those on the fence about whether to buy the N97 when it comes out in the UK on the 25th of June. Bon appétit!
