LG GC900 Viewty 2: June Release Date On Orange!
Another big 8 megapixel snapper has been under everyone’s radar for quite a while now, and save for the lone above image and a spec sheet out of Holland, very little was known about the sequel to the hugely popular LG Viewty.
Well, we’ve managed to get a look at the Q2 release schedule for Orange UK, which (as well as leaking the previously unheard-of Samsung ‘Preston’ and LG GW520 ‘Calisto’), has the LG Viewty 2 due to launch in June!
Said to run on the S-Class interface so ably showcased on the LG Arena, the Viewty 2 will have a 3″ full WVGA touchscreen, a whopping 32GB of memory, DivX and Xvid video playback capabilities and an 8 megapixel camera with xenon flash.
We had known of the handset floating around Mobile World Congress and were impressed by the understated design, but this release without any fanfare is quite a stealth attack on the similarly-specced Samsung i8910 Omnia HD, also earmarked for release in June.
With a rumoured new iPhone and the Nokia N97 also out in the same month, it’s looking to be a hot Summer in the mobile game!

UPDATE: The Viewty 2 has been officially branded the LG Viewty Smart GC900 and will be out on other retailers as early as the end of May! Orange is still set for a June release as far as we know.

The phone is actually called LG Renoir no Viewty II and has been out for a couple months now around the world
It’s not the Renoir Gib. This is a totally different model with a totally different model number.

LG viewty II launch in India next month. Its good but are they not interested to launch LG Renoir kc 910 in India ?

Hi, it is saturday 20th march 2010 and the LG Viewty Smart GC900 mobile phone is still not out, i really want this phone so badley, so could someone tell me when this phone will be released in London?
