3 UK Unveils INQ Mini 3G Release Date: The ‘Twitter’ Phone Goes Cheep!

The follow up to the hugely successful INQ1 handset – a pioneer in terms of bringing web connectivity to entry level mobiles – has been confirmed by 3 UK for an early October release.
The INQ Mini 3G, dubbed the ‘Twitter phone’ by many due to offering one-touch access to the popular micro blogging site, will be available for free on contract with a £15 per month Internet Texter plan (which covers all your surfing), and at a frankly amazing prepay price of £59.99.
Whilst the form factor has seen a welcome revamp, the integration to social media is still unparalleled in a device at this price range.
Offering Facebook, Windows Messenger, Skype and now background updating of Twitter in addition to e-mail, all are easily accessed from the home screen using a straight forward ‘carousel’ interface.
Customisation is another big buzzword these days, and the INQ Mini 3G follows the new HTC Tattoo by resurrecting changeable rear covers (Nokia…you know what must be done!).
With a red fascia bundled in and seven more to be made available in 3 Stores, the Mini 3G will be the coolest phone on the block this October.
Also, bear in mind that all prepay and pay monthly deals on 3UK come equipped with free Skype-to-Skype calls as well as free Windows Live Messenger.
For those a little more serious about their textual habits, remember that the Nokia E71-aping INQ Chat 3G is also around the corner…
Yeah, and I’m sorry about the headline. Really sorry.
