It’s Good To Stalk

A new tracking device allowing friends and family to stalk one another from the comfort of their mobile phone is being launched in Britain today, and American company Useful Networks hopes that thousands sign up.  The only stumbling block to wannabe spies is that the person under surveillance needs to give their consent to be found.

Users simply register onto the Social Network Integrated Friend Finder (Best. Acronym. Ever.), which allows their tracker to dovetail with your friends list on sites like Facebook, and each ‘sweep’ to spot a friend’s location costs 50p. Their location then shows up on a map on your handset, spelling an end to being “just round the corner” when late to meet someone.

CEO Brian Levin said: “You are fully in control of who can track you and when, you can go invisible at any time – that is paramount.” He also said mentioned many other practical uses for this application, quite literally none of which was keep to tabs on cheating partners.

He’s eager to tap into the networking site demographic, proud of having finally combined the great British pastimes of being nosey and sending messages on Facebook instead of working. How long will it be before the domestic disputes about being ‘invisible’ all Friday night start?
