A strange dichotomy regarding the Palm Pre now, as whilst users are spotted playing with it in the wild, employees for the network due about to sell it in the US are being fired for even talking about it.

According to the Non Disclosure Agreement signed by employees (who are currently in the throes of being trained on the handset before launch) they are not allowed to discuss this information with anyone. Anyone.

Three people did, and were apparently shown the door.

Wait, what? We all know the Pre exists, and Palm could do with all the positive press in the world with some analysts already branding it a failure.

What, are you going to go after Angelina Jolie after her brief review of the handset, or get riled at Faith (she’ll always be Faith) for pouting at it months before launch? They are being far too overprotective over what is another phone at the end of the day, not the Lost season finale!

Get the column inches any way you can Palm, because if the Pre isn’t a legitimate iPhone rival, you won’t be able to pay people to talk about it.
