Okay, so this is the spiritual successor to the original LG Chocolate KG800!

A more traditionally sized companion to the recently papped LG BL40, this LG BL42 Black Label handset has the classic slider form factor as well as that slew of touch-pad buttons below the screen, making it a shot-for-shot remake of the original successful fashion phone.

Specs? Well, beyond the presence of a 5 megapixel camera, not so much… Dutch site All About Phones was where these pics originated, and they’re in the dark as we are.

The good news? LG seems to be stepping up the diversity of the handsets in their range just as much as they promised.

With a new Prada III handset, a supposed ‘iPhone killer’ and a credit-crunch mocking “extreme premium brand” offshoot in the works, LG are making a concerted effort at taking the global number two spot from Samsung.
