Spoonfed iPhone App: Hot Ticket For Event Loving Londoners!

One thing that me and my mates are making a pledge to do this summer is just to go out more. Not just out, but OUT out.

See more gigs, go to free events, enjoy more of what our beautiful and diverse city of London has to offer. Our only setback was actually finding out where to go!

The Spoonfed website is a good start offering ‘the definitive guide to things to do in London’ and now their new ‘Radar’ iPhone app takes that wealth of information and takes it mobile!

In Central London and at a loose end for what to do? Their app literally scans the vicinity for what to get up to! Broken down by genre, the app offers locational information for live music and comedy, the more cultured pastimes of visiting the theatre or exhibitions, as well as DJ event or my personal favourite of ‘beery fun’ events across London.

When hot spots are found, a wealth of further details can be found out including prices, start times and obviously the address, which works great with Google Maps.

See it in action!

What I loved about using the app is that it was dynamically searching for a place to go out right now rather than suggesting places on the other side of London, leading to me finding a nice new establishment to whet my whistle, as well as enjoy a good evening of partying!

Meaghan Fitzgerald of Spoonfed was eager to mention than it isn’t only Zone 1 frequenters than can benefit from the Radar:

“Of course the app is particularly effective in central London, but we list events well outside the city centre and have over 30,000 events listed per month so it’s always quick and easy to find something to do wherever you are in London.”
