LG Viewty 2 Official Pictures, Now LG Viewty Smart!

Following on from our exclusive information showing the LG Viewty 2 coming to our shores in June, Electric Pig has managed to get ahold of some official images of the impressive touch device, and discovered a new name!
Using our extensive knowledge of German (and Babelfish), we have managed to glean from the official LG blog where these photos originated that the new phone will now be known as the LG Viewty Smart (at least in some parts of the world, not sure if it’ll be a region-specific moniker a la Omnia HD as yet).
The phone will indeed come equipped with an 8 megapixel camera and the S-Class touch interface currently wowing crowds on the LG Arena.
The handset is a mere 12.4 mm thick and weighs only 90g, amazing dimensions considering how much high end technology is stuffed inside. 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth connectivity are as standard, the media side of things is ably catered for with both Dolby Mobile and DivX support, whilst the Viewty Smart’s sleek metallic frame is bound to attract some admirers in the style stakes.
We wait eagerly for European launch dates, as well as further details regarding specifications. For now, feast on the beautiful imagery after the jump!
UPDATE: Looks like you don’t need to fire up Babelfish anymore, the announcement has been pulled from the LG Germany blog and replaced with an apology! Shrewd marketing or genuine slip up?
