Those generous chaps and chapesses at Nokia are offering CES attendess the chance to win a handset. It’s really easy to take part simply text ‘Nokia’ to 99134. Nokia then sends you a bar code and all you have to do is head for the Nokia Booth South 3 30313 LVCC and present your bar code to their scanner. If you’ve got the lucky bar code you win. Simple as.

This is a really fun and innovative way to get people to visit their booth. There are so many amazing companies exhibiting at CES it is a tough choice which ones to see. With this clever competition, Nokia ensures that there is a really big incentive to go and check them out. The competition shows how canny companies can use innovative technology to make themselves stand out for the crowd. Maybe it means the West is finally catching up with Japan through realising the amazing potential of using bar codes in conjunction with mobile devices.
